What is Rxcrosscheck?
Rxcrosscheck
is a web site designed and maintained by Registered Pharmacists who
recognize that the changing market for prescription drugs has created a
great danger to the consumer.
Who should use Rxcrosscheck?
Any
person who is taking multiple medications prescribed by more than one
physician and/or purchased from more than one pharmacy source. If this
is true for you or a family member, Rxcrosscheck can give you the "peace of mind" that one medication is not undoing what another should
do or even causing further harm. This website is geared toward the
"sandwich generation" who is responsible for an elderly parent who
takes many medications. It is also for the "baby boomers" who are now
beginning to take more medications, or anyone who is concerned about
mixing medications that they have gotten from more than one source.

Why use Rxcrosscheck?
Today's
healthcare market is very complex. HMOs and other insurance plans not
only dictate where you can obtain medical care and provisions but also
what you can have for treatment. You may be able to purchase a new
prescription from your trusted local pharmacist but have to send away
for continuing medication. As we approach the new millennium, there are
more medications for more medical conditions than ever before. You may
be shopping around, or told to mail away for medication but can you be
sure that everyone is on the same page and everyone involved in the
process knows the complete story? With Rxcrosscheck you tell the entire
story yourself to one information source.

How does Rxcrosscheck work?
State
of the art computer technology will be used to crosscheck the
medications that you take. You simply fill out the form on the next
page, then mail it, e-mail or FAX it to the address on that form. Once
Rxcrosscheck receives this, a pharmacist will input your medication
information into our computer. The computer will then analyze the
multiple medication regimen. If any drug interactions are detected a
report will be generated. This report will contain the references for
any interaction so that you can give it to your physician(s) for his
examination and consideration. Once the Rxcrosscheck is complete our
pharmacist will return a report to you explaining our findings. The
software for this program is updated weekly and is the most up to date
in the industry.

How much will Rxcrosscheck cost?
The
professional fee for this service will be $20.00. It will be payable
with the submission of the form. If the form is mailed, a check or
credit card will be accepted. Do not send cash through the mail. If
faxing or e-mailing you must include a credit card authorization. If
your medication is changed within a 6 month period, Rxcrosscheck will "recrosscheck" for a fee of $10.00.
